Bloomberg, Susquehanna International Group and Jump Trading reportedly subscribe to Truth Social’s premium data feed, offering millisecond-level access to market-moving presidential statements for up to $100,000 per month.
Bloomberg and two major Wall Street trading firms have reportedly signed agreements with Trump Media & Technology Group to receive faster access to US President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts, introducing a premium information service that could provide institutional investors with an advantage in reacting to market-moving announcements.
According to a Reuters investigation published on October 28, 2026, Bloomberg, Susquehanna International Group and Jump Trading are among the customers purchasing access to Truth API, a subscription-based service developed by Trump’s social media company. The arrangements were disclosed by individuals familiar with the agreements, although the three firms declined to comment.
The service reportedly costs between $60,000 and $100,000 per month, depending on contractual terms. Trump Media has described the product as an institutional-grade information feed designed for financial organizations requiring immediate access to influential social media activity.
Millisecond access becomes a financial trading product
Launched in July 2026, Truth API provides automated access to posts from 10 influential Truth Social accounts, including Trump’s official profile. The service is designed to deliver information approximately 50 milliseconds faster than conventional platform notifications, according to Trump Media officials.
Although the difference represents only five-hundredths of a second, it can be significant in high-frequency trading, where automated systems process information and execute transactions within milliseconds.
Susquehanna and Jump Trading operate sophisticated algorithmic trading businesses across financial markets. Bloomberg, meanwhile, supplies institutional investors with real-time financial information, analytics and trading infrastructure.
Trump’s social media announcements have repeatedly influenced asset prices, particularly when addressing tariffs, international trade, monetary policy and geopolitical developments.
In April 2026, oil futures declined sharply after Trump announced a ceasefire involving Iran through Truth Social, demonstrating how presidential statements can trigger immediate repricing across global commodity markets.
For automated trading firms, receiving such information ahead of conventional distribution channels could support faster adjustments to positions in equities, currencies, commodities and potentially cryptocurrencies.
Trump Media disclosed in August that it had secured more than 10 customer agreements for Truth API, primarily involving Wall Street trading firms. However, Reuters was unable to independently confirm the total number of contracts or the individual subscription payments.
Regulatory concerns emerge over unequal information access
The commercial arrangements have attracted scrutiny over whether a company financially connected to a sitting president should charge institutions for preferential access to presidential communications.
Trump’s family trust owns approximately 41% of Trump Media, with the president identified as its sole beneficiary. The ownership structure has intensified questions surrounding potential conflicts of interest and the commercialization of government-related information.
In July, Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff requested that the Securities and Exchange Commission examine whether Truth API could raise securities-law concerns.
Separately, Intercept Media and the Freedom of the Press Foundation filed a lawsuit in August challenging the publication of official government announcements exclusively through Truth Social while the premium subscription service operates.
Trump Media has rejected criticism, maintaining that Truth API represents a conventional commercial data product. The company also disputed aspects of Reuters’ reporting and emphasized customer confidentiality.
The controversy comes as Trump Media faces financial pressure, with its shares declining more than 50% during 2026 and its market capitalization falling to approximately $1.8 billion.
The agreements illustrate the growing commercial value of political information in algorithmic financial markets, while raising unresolved questions about equitable access to presidential statements and the boundaries between public communication and privately monetized financial data.
