U.S.-listed cryptocurrency ETFs recorded another broad session of inflows on August 27, with Bitcoin and Ether funds extending their positive streaks to nine consecutive trading days and demand for Solana rebounding sharply.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs generated $242.3 million of net inflows, according to Farside Investors, slightly above the $232.2 million recorded on August 26. BlackRock’s IBIT again dominated with $277.6 million of inflows. Bitwise’s BITB added $21.7 million, ARK 21Shares’ ARKB attracted $29.7 million, VanEck’s HODL added $5.7 million and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT received $6.7 million.
Those purchases were partially offset by substantial redemptions elsewhere. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $83.6 million of outflows while Grayscale’s GBTC lost another $27.2 million. Grayscale’s lower-fee BTC fund attracted $11.7 million. Cumulative Bitcoin ETF net inflows have now reached approximately $54.9 billion.
Ether and Solana Demand Accelerates
Ether ETFs also extended their inflow streak to nine sessions. Farside recorded $225.8 million of net inflows on August 27, up from $192.4 million on August 26 and $179.8 million on August 25.
BlackRock’s ETHA led with $130.2 million, while its newer ETHB product attracted $20.7 million. Fidelity’s FETH added $56.2 million, Bitwise’s ETHW received $1.4 million and Grayscale products added a combined $17.3 million.
SoSoValue reports a slightly higher category total of approximately $235 million. The difference appears to reflect variations in product coverage or methodology between the two trackers. Both datasets nevertheless show substantially stronger demand than the previous session. Solana produced an even sharper rebound.
SoSoValue recorded $60.91 million of SOL ETF inflows, compared with just $3.6 million on August 26. Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $40.20 million, taking its cumulative net inflows above $1 billion. Grayscale’s GSOL added $6.22 million, while total cumulative Solana ETF inflows reached approximately $1.32 billion.
Farside’s Solana table had not incorporated the August 27 fund-level figures at publication time, so SoSoValue provides the more complete current session total.
XRP and Hyperliquid Keep Altcoin Flows Positive
XRP ETFs added another $18.47 million. Bitwise’s XRP ETF led with $12.16 million, followed by Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ at $6.31 million. Cumulative XRP ETF inflows have now reached approximately $1.64 billion.
Hyperliquid products recorded $24.42 million, accelerating from $14.7 million on August 26.
Bitwise’s BHYP generated $23.22 million of the total, while Grayscale’s HYPG contributed $1.20 million. Cumulative HYPE ETF net inflows consequently increased to approximately $340 million. Using SoSoValue’s $235 million Ether figure alongside the finalized Bitcoin, Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid numbers produces approximately $581 million of combined August 27 net inflows across the five categories.
Using Farside’s lower $225.8 million Ether figure gives approximately $572 million. Either measure represents an acceleration from August 26, when the same five categories attracted roughly $471 million.
More importantly, the composition of flows broadened. Bitcoin remained the largest destination but represented less than half of the five-asset total. Ether accelerated, Solana experienced its strongest inflow session this week, and both XRP and Hyperliquid continued attracting capital.
Bitcoin and Ether have now each recorded nine consecutive positive sessions, suggesting the institutional demand that returned in mid-August has persisted through recent cryptocurrency price volatility.
August 27 therefore strengthens the evidence that the latest ETF recovery is no longer exclusively a Bitcoin trade. Regulated investment demand is increasingly spreading across Ether and newer altcoin products, with Solana’s $60.9 million rebound providing the clearest example from Thursday’s session.
