Binance will restrict eight cryptocurrency services and remove 22 tokens from trading for Brazilian customers beginning October 27, 2026, as the exchange restructures its local operations to comply with new Central Bank of Brazil regulations.
The changes, announced on October 8, affect crypto lending, margin trading, mining services and token-reward programs. They also introduce new arrangements for customer accounts, custody, derivatives access and international cryptocurrency transfers.
Binance said eligible Brazilian customers will be migrated to local operating entities by October 29, bringing their domestic transactions under the country’s evolving virtual-asset regulatory framework. The restrictions do not constitute a complete withdrawal from Brazil. Spot cryptocurrency trading and other permitted services will remain available through the exchange’s Brazilian operations.
However, affected customers will face deadlines for opening new positions, managing existing investments and accessing certain digital assets.
Eight Products Restricted, 22 Tokens Removed
The eight affected services are Binance Loans, Binance Pool, Cloud Mining, Margin, Launchpool, Megadrop, HODLer Airdrops and Alpha 2.0. From October 27, Brazilian customers will no longer be able to open new positions in these products.
Existing loans will enter repayment-only arrangements, allowing borrowers to settle outstanding obligations without additional penalties associated with the transition. Margin positions already established through Binance’s Abu Dhabi entity may remain open, but customers will be unable to increase exposure, transfer additional collateral or obtain new borrowing.
The exchange has not established a mandatory closure deadline for those existing margin positions.
Binance will also discontinue trading access to 22 tokens for Brazilian residents. The affected assets include XVG, USDE, USTC, DCR, DUSK, PIVX, BB, MANTRA, ONE, GMT, TFUEL, ZIL, ONT, RVN, ACX, HIT, PYR, VANRY, VIC, ICX, SCRT and STORJ.
Customers can continue trading them until October 27. Afterward, existing balances may be retained, withdrawn or reinvested according to the platform’s applicable arrangements. The restrictions apply to Brazilian users rather than representing a worldwide delisting of the tokens.
Binance Shifts Brazilian Operations to Local Entities
The restructuring is tied to Central Bank of Brazil Resolutions 519, 520 and 521, which establish requirements for virtual-asset service providers, including authorization, operational controls and reporting obligations.
By October 29, Brazilian customers will receive individual payment accounts through Binance Brasil Corretora de Câmbio e Valores Mobiliários, formerly Sim;paul.
Regulated cryptocurrency services will be provided by BBrasil Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais, another Binance group company. Digital-asset custody will remain with Nest Clearing and Custody, regulated in Abu Dhabi. Customers generally will not need to repeat identity verification unless their information requires updating.
Binance also clarified that cryptocurrency derivatives are not offered directly to Brazilian residents through its local entity. Eligible customers accessing derivatives independently may use a separate international account operated through Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable terms. Another change takes effect on November 1, when international cryptocurrency transfers will require additional information about transaction purposes and counterparties.
Binance will report qualifying transactions to Brazil’s central bank, while users may experience delays if required information is missing. The exchange is also introducing customer risk-profile assessments and revised tax-reporting arrangements following the migration.
For Binance, the changes represent a significant operational adjustment in one of Latin America’s largest cryptocurrency markets. For Brazilian customers, the immediate consequences are narrower product availability, reduced access to certain tokens and additional compliance requirements. The transition illustrates how Brazil’s regulatory framework is reshaping cryptocurrency services without prohibiting ordinary spot trading.
October 27 marks the main deadline for product restrictions and token removals, followed by the October 29 account migration and November 1 international-transfer requirements.
